I Am Not Someone Else
August 31st, 2006 by Laura Moncur in MotivationThere have been so many times in my life when I have coveted someone else’s life. I see where someone else is and wish that I was there. I wish that my life had turned out differently or I wish my body had turned out differently.
I only know one cure for this frame of mind: gratitude.
Whenever I start wishing I was someone else, I sit down and write down all the things that are going RIGHT with my life. Sometimes I can only think of one or two at first, but if I keep at it, I eventually come to the decision that my life is actually wonderful and I wouldn’t change places with that other person afterall.
Not even to get her jean size or his salary…
