Silence
December 1st, 2005 by Laura Moncur in MotivationOne way to keep the Christmas holidays more about love and less about commercialism is to give yourself a little bit of silence every day, even if it’s just five minutes. Some call it meditation, others call it prayer, sometimes just being able to sit for five minutes without interruption is a luxury. Make sure you set aside this time, even if you have to lock yourself in the bathroom. You will feel more at peace with the season and yourself if you do.

“…is to give yourself a little bit of silence every day, even if it’s just five minutes…”
This is truly wise counsel. At work, when I get all caught up in work, I’ll go to the office bathroom stall to sit and meditate for 5 minutes or so to get away from all of the craziness. It’s amazing how much five minutes of silence can make. Just think what a half-hour could do……

For many chaos is paradise.
