If you have money to spare this holiday season, please do what you can for the relief efforts in the wake of the tsunami and earthquake in Asia and India. Donations are being accepted by the American Red Cross, Doctors without Borders, International Federation of Red Cross/Red Crescent, Oxfam (US), Oxfam (UK), and Mercy Corps.

10 Years of Quotations: The Quotations Page is celebrating its 10-year anniversary! (We first went online in November 1994.) Read more about the history of this site here. We couldn’t have lasted this long without our loyal visitors, so thanks as always for your support. I’ve also made some minor changes to the site design today, so reload your browser if things look strange. More exciting new features are coming by the end of the year. Please let us know if you have any suggestions or comments.

A quick note: It’s election day in the US. If you’re a registered voter, get out and vote! Remember, democracy only works if you participate in it.

I’ve made some more changes to the site. You may need to reload each page you’ve already viewed today to see the correct version. The biggest change is that each quotation now has its own page, so you can link to a favorite quote, and we can add notes to a quote. Here’s an example. Click on a quotation on any page, or use the icons next to it, to display its page. You can also email a quotation to a friend (or yourself) from the form on that page. Use the envelope icon next to any quote to reach the email form.
