Hi to all. has anyone tried reading a personalised romance book? essentially, you choose a famous classic novel like Pride & Prejudice or Jane Eyre, and others, and star as one of the characters.
I came across personalised story books and wondered exactly how this is viewed in the world of literature where character names are replaced by your own.

I hope you're kidding
Many people's names probably come from their parents' reading a particular book and liking the name of one of the characters, but can you really imagine Rhett Butler/Heathcliff etc falling in love with someone called ................ ( substitute your pet hate name). I could put in several but don't want to offend. Maybe I would be safe with say "Ermyntrude"?
OK OK all you Ermyntrudes, no hate mail , please.
